"The Festival of the Arts is a monthlong celebration of art, music, film, poetry and other events honed from the wealth of talent in the Ferris State and Big Rapids communities.

Bruce Dilg, festival chair and professor of Architectural Technology, has worked with Ferris faculty, students, staff and the community to make the annual event a resounding success.

"We have an incredible amount of talent in this little town," Dilg said. "The festival is a way to use the arts to bridge any gap between the community of Big Rapids and Ferris. It shows us how the arts can enhance community members' lives, especially in the dead of winter."

The festival covers the month of February and offers something for everyone while bringing energy and entertainment to the winter season."
