Big Rapids has many improvements coming downtown soon.  Among the renovations are new trees, new energy efficient lights, new sidewalks, seating areas and much, much more.  The following illustrations and pictures are presented to give you a greater idea for the upcoming improvements.

 A New Look

• Cobra lights being removed  (first pole from the left)
• New energy efficient lights        being installed
• Benches repainted bronze       and rearranged
• Flower pots to remain
• A weatherproof historical      plaque will be affixed to the  brick wall 

 New LED light poles

•  These have an estimated savings value of up to 50 percent of our current energy  cost.
• The bulbs have a 70,000 hour operational lifespan.
• The fixture design and pole design are displayed on the left.
