When it's time to take a break you'll be glad to be downtown.  Stop in Mitchel Creek Park for a little nature, to eat lunch, or enjoy the great treat you just picked up downtown.  It's easy to enjoy the entire park as you follow winding Mitchel Creek as it winds its way around the edge of the park.  Or swing over to Hemlock Park which is adjacent to the Downtown District. Hemlock Park features tennis courts, baseball diamonds, fishing docks over the Muskegon, and ample room for picnics. Take the kids to Playscape to climb and explore, cross the foot bridge to the Bandshell for concerts of all sorts, or just go for a stroll through the Riverwalk nature trails.
